"Catalina State Park Hike"

When we first were out there to paint, the snow melt was increasing so the water level
was rising at the edge, as we worked. Hikers put big garbage bags up to their knees,
trying
to keep dry. The next time we went, maybe a couple of years later, it was all dry and I sat
up on the hill in the shade of the small mesquite to finish the painting,
as several hikers visited with me.
